Everything went their way against the Harrison Hornets on Wednesday as they made off with a 15-5 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bluejays in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won seven in a row.
Michael Pung was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Shepherd got a massive performance out of Brady Robinson, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. Those four runs gave Robinson a new career-high. Easton VanAlstine was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and one run.
Shepherd always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
