In Georgia's biggest high school football game Friday night, No. 5 McEachern knocked off No. 3 Marietta 14-12.
Marietta entered the contest ranked No. 21 nationally by MaxPreps.
Other teams near the top of the rankings cruised to victories. No. 1 Lowndes shut out Tift County 28-0 while No. 2 Colquitt County beat No. 17 Camden County 34-17. No. 6 Valdosta beat Coffee 28-7.
In another big head-to-head Top 25 matchup, No. 8 Grayson beat Archer in overtime 34-31.
