Baseball Recap: Palmyra-Macedon's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Palmyra-Macedon waltzed into their match on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the East Eagles by a score of 9-4. For the Red Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 6-1 win the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Camron Quick was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with three RBI and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Brady Leo was a standout: he got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Gavin Everts was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Palmyra-Macedon's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for East, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-7.

As of now, neither Palmyra-Macedon nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
