Baseball Recap: Crothersville Takes a Loss

Crothersville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 14-2 to the New Washington Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 21-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Crothersville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blake Robinson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Crothersville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for New Washington, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crothersville will head out to face off against Dugger Union at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for New Washington, they will venture away from home to take on South Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
