Capitan can bid farewell to their 12-match losing streak thanks to their match on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mescalero Apache Chiefs. The Tigers not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 24, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Capitan walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-23, 25-23.

Capitan's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 2-17. As for Mescalero Apache, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-21.

Looking ahead, Capitan will take on Lordsburg at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Mescalero Apache does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
