Baseball Recap: College Park Triumphs

College Park barely beat San Ramon Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The College Park Falcons' pitchers stepped up to hand the San Ramon Valley Wolves an 8-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Sebastian Alvarez tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Vincent 'Tino' Vasell, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Samuel Johnston was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

College Park's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for San Ramon Valley, their record is now 2-2.

Looking ahead, College Park will welcome Granada at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for San Ramon Valley, they will head out to face off against Benicia at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
