Football Recap: New Glarus Starts off Right with Win over Pecatonica/Argyle

New Glarus had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Pecatonica/Argyle Vikings, posting a 49-0 victory. Given the Glarner Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Vikings are ranked 332nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Glarus will challenge Belleville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pecatonica/Argyle, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Waterloo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
