Soccer Game Preview: Hancock vs. Solorio + How To Watch

The Hancock Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Solorio Sun Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hancock is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

If Solorio heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Hancock took over last week. The Eagles walked away with a 3-1 win over Kennedy on Wednesday. Given Hancock's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 160th, while Kennedy are ranked 393rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Solorio was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Taft. The defeat continues a trend for Solorio in their meetings with Taft: they've now lost three in a row.

Hancock's victory bumped their record up to 10-3-1. As for Solorio, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Hancock came out on top in a nail-biter against Solorio when the teams last played back in April of 2023, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
