Lake Minneola put their dominant defense on display in the team's fifth consecutive shutout on Tuesday. They walked away with a 12-0 victory over the East Ridge Knights. The 12-point effort marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The critical scores for Lake Minneola came from Kumari Wright and Bailey Fowler.

Lake Minneola didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Isabella Mathews led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. Adeejah Clarke has been hot recently, having also posted at least one defended passe the last four times she's played.

Lake Minneola's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for East Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Minneola will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tavares at 6:00 p.m. on March 18th. As for East Ridge, they will head out on the road to take on Leesburg at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
