Basketball Recap: Jay County Piles Up the Points Against South Adams

While Jay County didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They breezed by the South Adams Starfires to the tune of 61-14 on Tuesday. That 47 point margin sets a new team best for the Patriots this season.

Despite the loss, South Adams still got an impressive performance from Tytus Lehman, who posted 11 points.

The victory (which was Jay County's third in a row) raised their record to 6-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for South Adams, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jay County will face off against Hagerstown at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Adams, they will head out on the road to square off against Lakewood Park Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
