Volleyball Recap: Sonora Takes a Loss

Sonora lost against San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Broncos took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-17, 17-25, 25-16.

Brook Kaiser paced Sonora's offense, picking up ten kills. Kaiser got some help from Madison Galindo and her ten assists. Dianna Silva and Jazlyn Garcia kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Sonora's defeat dropped their record down to 17-17. As for San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.

Sonora will head out on the road to square off against Harper at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Sweetwater at 7:00 p.m.
