Football Recap: Borden County Takes a Loss

If Borden County was riding high fresh off their 59-26 takedown of Nazareth last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Coyotes took a blow against the Benjamin Mustangs on Friday, falling 58-26. The loss put an end to the Coyotes' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Borden County fell to 2-1. As for Benjamin, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Borden County will welcome Rankin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Coyotes will need to watch out since the Red Devils have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Benjamin, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cherokee at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
