Volleyball Recap: Alliance's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

Alliance's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over East. That's more bragging rights for the Aviators, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Alliance might've won, it sure wasn't easy: East scored at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 23-25, 25-20, 25-22.

Veda Lyons paced Alliance's offense, picking up nine kills. Lyons got some help from Kiersten White and her 23 assists. White was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Alliance moved to 3-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for East, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Alliance will host Minerva at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for East, they will challenge Ursuline at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
