Volleyball Recap: Cordova's Winning Streak Snapped at Seven Games

It was a good run, but Cordova unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-match winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Curry Yellowjackets. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-15.

Lexi Woods paced Cordova's offense, picking up five kills. Woods got some help from Lexee King and her 13 assists.

Cordova's defeat dropped their record down to 24-16. As for Curry, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-10 record this season.

Cordova has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Dora on the 4th. Hopefully Curry paid attention to the Blue Devils' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Blue Devils at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
