Volleyball Recap: Maplewood Baptist Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bay Mills Ojibwe Charter on Monday, Maplewood Baptist Academy came back down to earth. The Black Bears lost 3-0 to the Newberry Indians on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Indians this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat last Tuesday.

Maplewood Baptist Academy's loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 12-10-3. As for Newberry, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-9-4.

Maplewood Baptist Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Newberry, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Rudyard on the 6th.
