Recap: Socorro Bulldogs vs. Franklin Cougars

The Socorro Bulldogs suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 72-43 loss at the hands of Franklin. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Socorro in their matchups with Franklin: they've now lost seven in a row.

Socorro lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jordan Dominguez, who scored 15 points along with three blocks. Another player making a difference was Danny Delgado, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.

Leading Franklin to victory were Ethan Martinez and Jazhiel Herrera. Martinez scored 15 points along with five rebounds and five steals, while Herrera scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Herrera has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Hall, who scored seven points.

Socorro has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Franklin, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6.

Socorro will take on Eastlake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Franklin, they will head out on the road to square off against Montwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
