Raton had won four straight on the road, but on Thursday they bumped up to 13-3 to make it five. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Tucumcari Rattlers 3-2. The game was the first time the Tigers have beaten the Rattlers on their court since March 27, 2021.

Raton found their leader in sophomore Aveah Marquez, who had 36 digs and two assists. Those 36 digs set a new season-high mark for Marquez. Another player making a difference was Addison Medina, who had 18 digs and three aces.
