Volleyball Recap: Estero's Run of Seven Straight Wins Now Over

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Estero couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the North Broward Prep Eagles on Saturday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since October 2nd.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-18, 25-17.

Destiny Wiggins was the offensive standout of the match as she had 12 digs and two aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 13 times she's played. Riley Dynan also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Estero moved to 22-8 with that loss, which also ended their seven-match winning streak. As for North Broward Prep, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 23-2.

Estero does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Broward Prep, they will welcome Mater Lakes Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
