Basketball Recap: Burton Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Burton faced off against Bremond on Tuesday. The Burton Panthers came up short against the Bremond Tigers, falling 61-37. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-28 on January 3rd.

Jeremy Harris was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten boards for Bremond. Jeramiah Morgan was another key player, putting up 16 points and six rebounds.

Burton has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. As for Bremond, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-6.

Burton is taking a road trip to challenge Mumford at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mumford will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Burton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bremond, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Snook at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bremond is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season.
