The Unity Christian Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their 20th straight loss. They were beaten by Cumberland 61-21. Unity Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-9.
Kelby Bierman was a one-man wrecking crew for Cumberland as he scored 21 points along with nine rebounds and seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bierman has scored all season. Blake Mcmechan was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Unity Christian's defeat was their 11th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Cumberland, their win bumped their record up to 8-15.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] the next time they take the court. Cumberland will head out to face Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while Unity Christian will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
