Braintree came tearing into Friday's matchup with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 56-37 win over the Walpole Timberwolves. Given the Wamps' advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Timberwolves are ranked 29th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Braintree's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-1. As for Walpole, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.

Braintree will host Weymouth at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Walpole has already played their next game (against Milton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
