Baseball Recap: Riverview's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Riverview brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They were the clear victors by a 29-0 margin over the Tenoroc Titans on Thursday. The Sharks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

Parker Burt looked comfortable as he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kaden Hess, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Jan Carlos Rodriguez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.

With the victory, Riverview broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-7. As for Tenoroc, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-11.

Riverview wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 7-0 defeat against Freedom on the 15th. After both having extra time off, Tenoroc and Davenport will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 6:30 p.m. on the 25th. Tenoroc is facing Davenport at the right time seeing as Davenport is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
