Baseball Recap: Paso Robles Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Paso Robles not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 25, 2024. They blew past the Chowchilla Tribe 11-3. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bearcats as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Talen Freitas made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Marcus Garcia, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaiden Soboleski, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Paso Robles hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chowchilla struck out 11 times.

Paso Robles' record is now 2-5. As for Chowchilla, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-8.

Paso Robles has already played their next game, a 6-1 defeat against Templeton on the 25th. As for Chowchilla, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-0 win against Fresno Christian on the 25th.
