He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2025.
Trimble wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jaden Browning, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.
Meanwhile, Wayne got the win against Holdrege on Monday by a conclusive 11-1. With that win, the Blue Devils brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
The team relied heavily on Jaxson Kneifl, who went 3-for-5 with two triples, two stolen bases, and four RBI. He also scored two runs, which is notable because Wayne is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-7 otherwise. Adrian Contreras was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Wayne always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
The victory got Wayne back to even at 7-7. As for Thurston-Cuming County, their record is now 4-5.
