Basketball Recap: Frederica Academy Comes Up Short

Frederica Academy has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They came up short against the St. Andrew's Lions on Tuesday, falling 78-53. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Frederica Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-38 back in January.

St. Andrew's was led to victory by Zayden Edwards and Ja'Cari Glover. Edwards went 11 for 18 on his way to 31 points along with seven boards and four steals, while Glover dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. What's more, Glover also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Amari Cook was another key player, putting up six points and six assists.

Frederica Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for St. Andrew's, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 19-3.

Frederica Academy has already played their next matchup (against Westminster Schools of Augusta), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. St. Andrew's has already played their next game, a 73-50 victory against Bulloch Academy on the 5th.
