Basketball Recap: Hill Takes a Loss

Hill played a tough matchup on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Texas Institute and fell 63-10. The Hawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-10.

Texas Institute found their leader in freshman Jaylen Halp, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Halp has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Bateman, who went 6-for-13 on his way to 13 points.

Hill is on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4. As for Texas Institute, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-6.

Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Texas Institute, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-43 victory against Grace Christian on the 15th.
