Basketball Recap: Waylon Williams' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Ramsey over Lebanon

Ramsey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a hard 75-57 fall against the Lebanon Greyhounds. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 80-59 back in November of 2024.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Waylon Williams, who went 9 for 16 en route to 19 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Teegan Snider, who posted six points and three blocks.

Even though they lost, Ramsey smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in November of 2023.

Lebanon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kyle Noud led the charge by putting up 24 points. The dominant performance gave Noud a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Deion Washington, who scored 24 points.

Ramsey's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Lebanon, their victory bumped their record up to 4-12.

Ramsey has already played their next match (against North Clay/Clay City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lebanon won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against East Alton-Wood River at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Lebanon is facing East Alton-Wood River at the right time seeing as East Alton-Wood River is stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
