Baseball Recap: Lincoln Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Lincoln proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by ten) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Richwoods Knights 10-9. This was payback for the Railsplitters, who suffered a 5-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Lincoln has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-15 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Richwoods, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-11.

Looking ahead, Lincoln will face off against Rantoul at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Richwoods, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Metamora at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
