Basketball Game Preview: Clawson Trojans vs. Hazel Park Vikings

After both having extra time off, the Clawson Trojans and the Hazel Park Vikings will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clawson will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

Two weeks ago, Clawson was beaten by Lakeview 65-24.

Meanwhile, Hazel Park was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap two weeks ago as they fell 64-60 to Bendle. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 403rd, while the Tigers are ranked 199th).

Clawson's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Hazel Park, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Clawson came up short against Hazel Park when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 45-40. Can Clawson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
