Football Recap: Ridge Point Skates Past Fort Bend Travis with Ease

Ridge Point strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Fort Bend Travis Tigers 49-9. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 24th, while the Tigers are ranked 213th).

It was another big night for Aiden Akins, who rushed for 51 yards and three scores. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Bartee, who threw for 168 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 16 passes.

Ridge Point didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dyllon Bennett and Bryson Dossett.

Ridge Point's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Fort Bend Travis, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
