Basketball Recap: Harmony School of Innovation Sugar Land Takes a Loss

Harmony School of Innovation Sugar Land was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Almeta Crawford Chargers, falling 78-29. While losing is never fun, Harmony School of Innovation Sugar Land can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1198th, while Almeta Crawford is ranked 327th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Almeta Crawford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Darrion Boyd, who went 5 of 8 to rack up 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That's the most points Boyd has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jayden Nelson, who went 5 for 7 en route to 13 points and five boards.

Harmony School of Innovation Sugar Land's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Almeta Crawford, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 21 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season.

Looking ahead, Harmony School of Innovation Sugar Land will host Fort Bend Willowridge at 7:00 p.m. on February 11th. As for Almeta Crawford, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 69-62 win against Sealy on the 7th.
