Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wayne). They really took it to the Boone Central Cardinals for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-39 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Wayne's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colson Nelsen, who went 8 of 14 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points. Those 26 points gave Nelsen a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaxson Kneifl, who posted 11 points in addition to seven assists and three steals.

The win (which was Wayne's third in a row) raised their record to 12-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Boone Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-6.

Wayne will head out to challenge Laurel-Concord-Coleridge at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Wayne is facing Laurel-Concord-Coleridge at the right time seeing as Laurel-Concord-Coleridge is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Boone Central, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Guardian Angels Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m.
