            Volleyball Recap: Anderson Cubs vs. Lassen Grizzlies        
        
		
        
        
            
After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Yreka, Anderson was happy to have turned things around  on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Lassen Grizzlies by a score of  3-1. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cubs as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.
 Anderson had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 27-25, 25-16,  25-17.
Anderson can attribute much of their success to  Isabel Sturges, who  had nine  digs and four  aces.

 Sturges wasn't the only good servers: Anderson  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 24  aces. That's the most  aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.
Anderson's win bumped their record up to 11-20. As for Lassen, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost 13 of their last 17 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Anderson is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Central Valley  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lassen will  face off against  rival University Prep  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
