Volleyball Recap: St. Joseph's Academy's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

St. Joseph's Academy had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders by a score of 2-0. The Angels were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Crusaders, so the Angels were just returning the favor.

St. Joseph's Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ashley Eveler led the charge by getting five digs and two aces. Eveler is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 17 or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Lucy Moriarty was another key player, getting 11 digs and three assists.

St. Joseph's Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Cardinal Gibbons, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.

St. Joseph's Academy has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against St. Henry on the 12th. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Assumption on the 12th.
