Recap: North Duplin Rebels vs. Bear Grass Charter Bears
The North Duplin Rebels put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Bear Grass Charter as North Duplin made off with a 60-38 win. Considering North Duplin has won three matches by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
It was another big night for Reece Outlaw, who scored 30 points. Another player making a difference was Tateyawna Faison, who scored 12 points.
Bear Grass Charter's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Aubrey Dotson, who scored 10 points along with 7 steals. The matchup was Dotson's third in a row with at least ten points. Lane Gregory was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 13 rebounds and 4 blocks.
North Duplin pushed their record up to 4-0 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Bear Grass Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
North Duplin will head out on the road to face off against James Kenan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. James Kenan will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 301st, while North Duplin is ranked 43rd). Bear Grass Charter will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Currituck County at 2:00 p.m. on December 27th.
