Booker T. Washington came into Friday's game looking for another win against Shawnee, but Braylon Lassiter wouldn't allow it. The Wolves walked away with a 34-27 victory over the Hornets on Friday for which the team can thank Lassiter, who rushed for 229 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.0 yards per carry, and also threw for 186 yards and one TD. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 110.2 rushing yards per game.

One reason for the win was Shawnee's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. In that department, Jayden Smith was the leader with two. Kedarrius Palmer got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Shawnee now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Booker T. Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Shawnee is set to square off against their familiar foe Coweta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Tate McClendon and Brock Heilmann. Meanwhile, Booker T. Washington will take on rival Bishop Kelley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
