Basketball Recap: St. James Comes Up Short

If St. James was feeling good fresh off their 42-19 takedown of Myrtle Beach last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The St. James Sharks were outmatched by the Carolina Forest Panthers and fell 55-17. The matchup marked the Sharks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Miracle Mclean was her usual excellent self, going 7-for-11 en route to 19 points in addition to six rebounds and six blocks for Carolina Forest. Carolina Forest is undefeated when Mclean posts three or more blocks, but 2-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Madisyn Davis, who posted nine points along with six assists and six steals.

St. James' loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Carolina Forest, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3.

St. James wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 29-17 defeat against Conway on the 4th. As for Carolina Forest, they have also already played their next matchup, a 41-30 win against North Myrtle Beach on the 4th.
