Volleyball Recap: Niceville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Niceville was the 3-0 winner over Choctawhatchee when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Indians by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Indians 25-20 in the first set.

Niceville took Choctawhatchee into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-16, 25-22, 18-25, 15-9.

Kate Jannazo paced Niceville's offense, picking up 17 kills. Jannazo got some help from Carnley Summerlin and her 29 assists. Janey Elder controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Leading Choctawhatchee to victory were Nevaeh Deal and Airabella Delay. Deal had 12 digs and three aces, while Delay had 11 digs and one assist. Those 12 digs gave Deal a new career-high.

Niceville's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Choctawhatchee, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-12.

Looking ahead, Niceville will take on Milton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Choctawhatchee, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Navarre on the 9th.
