Volleyball Game Preview: Flower Mound Jaguars vs. Southlake Carroll Dragons

The Flower Mound Jaguars will face off against the Southlake Carroll Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Flower Mound sitting on three straight wins and Southlake Carroll on 11.

Flower Mound is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They put the hurt on Northwest with a sharp 3-0 victory.

On Friday fans watched as two of the best teams in the nation hit the court. Southlake Carroll blew past Plano West 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Dragons have posted against the Wolves since September 4, 2018.

Southlake Carroll found their leader in freshman Collins Alonzo, who had 15 digs and two assists. Alonzo has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 14 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Mariel Elizondo, who had 15 assists.

Southlake Carroll's victory bumped their record up to 32-5. As for Flower Mound, their win bumped their record up to 36-8.
