Softball Recap: Pine Valley Central Beats North Collins for Their Third Straight Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Pine Valley Central ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They walked away with an 11-8 victory over the North Collins Eagles. The win was just business as usual for the Panthers, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Danica Farnham made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Farnham was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, four stolen bases, and three runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Danielle West, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Carlie Ward was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

Pine Valley Central's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for North Collins, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Pine Valley Central will head out on the road to take on Cassadaga Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Collins, they will take on Silver Creek at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
