Football Recap: West Jefferson's Undefeated Season over After Eight Games

After flying high against Triad last Friday, West Jefferson came back down to earth. The Roughriders fell 21-14 to the Mechanicsburg Indians on Friday. The game marked the Roughriders' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why West Jefferson lost, don't look at Austin Buescher. Despite the final result, he threw for 235 yards and one TD, and also rushed for 73 yards.

Even if they lost, West Jefferson's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Brett Bogenrife refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself.

Having lost for the first time this season, West Jefferson fell to 7-1. As for Mechanicsburg, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1.
