Softball Recap: Monroe Continues Road Dominance on Thursday

While Monroe's win against Whitewater wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cheesemakers skirted past the Whippets 3-2. The Cheesemakers haven't had any issues with the Whippets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Monroe's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Whitewater, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monroe will square off against Badger at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Whitewater, they will challenge Lakeside Lutheran at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
