Basketball Recap: Thunder Basin Bolts vs. Laramie Plainsmen
On Friday, the Thunder Basin Bolts faced the Laramie Plainsmen in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Thunder Basin took a hard 80-63 fall against the Plainsmen. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Laramie's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Max Alexander, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Smith, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds.
Thunder Basin's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Laramie, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thunder Basin will take on the Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Laramie, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Camels at 2:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Campbell County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 207 points over their last three contests.
