Volleyball Recap: Ponder Wins Going Away Against Paradise

It was a proper cat-fight when Ponder faced off against Paradise on Friday. The Lions were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Panthers. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

One reason for the win was Ponder's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-18, 25-16.

Kennedy Simon paced Ponder's offense, picking up 17 kills. Simon got some help from Zoe Dishman and her 34 assists. Alli Meroney controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Ponder's win bumped their record up to 22-11. As for Paradise, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 24-11.

Ponder didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Valley View on the 14th. Paradise has also already played their next contest (against Pilot Point), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
