Football Recap: Six Straight Home Victories for Jarrell

Jarrell's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Wimberley on Friday. The Cougars took down the Salado Eagles 43-29. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 14-7 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Salado lost, don't look at Luke Bingham. Despite the final result, he rushed for 69 yards and one score, and also picked up 56 receiving yards.

Jarrell pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.8 points over those games. As for Salado, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-3 record.

Coincidentally, Jarrell and Salado will both be playing Gonzales the next time they take the field. The Eagles will host the Apaches at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Cougars will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on November 7.
