The Woodlands has gone a perfect 4-0 against Caney Creek recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Woodlands Highlanders will head out on the road to challenge the Caney Creek Panthers at 6:15 p.m. The Woodlands will be strutting in after a win while Caney Creek will be coming in after a loss.

The Woodlands barely beat Spring the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Woodlands never let Spring get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Saturday. The Highlanders haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Caney Creek didn't have quite enough to beat Pleasanton on Friday and fell 5-4. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caney Creek saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Castaneda, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Izzie White also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

The Woodlands' victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Caney Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

The Woodlands beat Caney Creek 6-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for The Woodlands since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
