Columbus and Hudson are an even 5-5 against one another since June of 2017, but likely not for long. The Sailors will be playing at home against the Pirates at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Columbus and 17 for Hudson dating back to last season.

On Thursday, Columbus came up short against Aplington-Parkersburg and fell 8-4.

Meanwhile, Hudson came up short against Dike-New Hartford on Thursday, falling 12-1. That's two games in a row now that the Pirates have lost by exactly 11 runs.

Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 6-16-1. As for Hudson, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-16.

Everything went Columbus' way against Hudson in their previous meeting last Thursday, as Columbus made off with a 12-2 victory. Will the Sailors repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
