Baseball Recap: Adams Falls Short Against Ranked Romeo

Adams faced Romeo in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Highlanders fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 8-7. The Highlanders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

Adams' loss dropped their record down to 22-6. As for Romeo, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Adams will venture away from home to take on West Bloomfield at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Romeo, they will welcome Royal Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Ravens have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season.
