Baseball Recap: Prairie Central Takes a Loss

Prairie Central lost against Pekin back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Prairie Central Hawks lost 12-2 to the Pekin Dragons.

Will Skala made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Even though they lost, Prairie Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Prairie Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Pekin, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-0.

Coming up, Prairie Central will venture away from home to challenge Wilmington at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pekin, they will welcome Normal Community at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
