North Middlesex Regional managed to slip by Groton-Dunstable the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Patriots lost 3-0 to the Crusaders on Friday. The Patriots' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

The final score came out to 25-22, 25-11, 25-23.

North Middlesex Regional's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 10-2. As for Groton-Dunstable, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. North Middlesex Regional will venture away from home to challenge South Lancaster Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Groton-Dunstable, they will head out to take on Nashoba Regional at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
